Works completed: Starting in November 2024 and completing October 2025, this scheme saw the successful turnaround and completion of a distressed office-to-residential conversion, following the Developer becoming insolvent mid-way through the project construction.

Acting as Employers Agent and Quantity Surveyor, The Bloom Building Consultancy team were entrusted by the lender to step in and perform a detailed examination of all construction and statutory issues, before managing the procurement and oversight of the required build out works.

The £5.5m conversion project has now successfully created 191 new residential apartments from this former commercial property in Newbury, Berkshire – an overall positive outcome for our client, as well as the residents now able to move into their new homes.
